- 15 oz cream of coconut
- 13.5 oz coconut milk
- 0.5 to 1 cup white rum (optional)

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Ground nutmeg (optional, for garnish)

- Add flavorings and optional rum: Pour in the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and white rum if using. Blend briefly again to evenly mix these flavorings into the coconut milk base without over-blending.
- Chill the coquito: Transfer the blended mixture into a pitcher or sealable bottles. Refrigerate and chill for at least 4 hours or ideally overnight to let the flavors meld and the drink to thicken slightly.
- Serve and garnish: Before serving, shake the coquito well to remix any settled ingredients. Pour into small glasses and garnish each with a cinnamon stick and a sprinkle of ground nutmeg or additional cinnamon for a festive touch.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of rum to taste or omit completely for a non-alcoholic version.
- For a thicker texture, chill the coquito overnight before serving.
- This drink can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week; shake well before each serving.
- You can customize the spice levels by adding more cinnamon or nutmeg according to your preference.
