Ingredients
Scale
Meat
- 4 pork chops
Seasonings and Sauces
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 1/4 cup apple cider
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F to prepare for baking the pork chops.
- Season Pork Chops: Season the pork chops evenly with salt and pepper to enhance their flavor, then place them in a greased baking dish ensuring there is space between each chop.
- Prepare Glaze Mixture: In a bowl, combine Dijon mustard, minced garlic, honey, freshly chopped rosemary, salted butter, and apple cider to create a flavorful honey-mustard glaze infused with herbal and sweet notes.
- Melt Butter: Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the butter has completely melted and the ingredients are well combined.
- Coat Pork Chops (Side One): Pour half of the apple cider-infused honey-mustard mixture over the pork chops and spread it evenly with a spoon to cover the surface.
- Coat Pork Chops (Side Two): Flip the pork chops over gently and spread the remaining glaze mixture over the other side to ensure full coverage and maximum flavor.
- Bake Pork Chops: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through, tender, and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Serve: Serve the pork chops smothered with the sauce from the baking dish, spooning some over each chop for extra moisture and flavor.
Notes
- To check doneness, use a meat thermometer aiming for 145°F internal temperature.
- Let the pork chops rest for 3-5 minutes after baking to retain juices.
- You can substitute fresh rosemary with dried rosemary if fresh is unavailable, using 1 teaspoon dried.
- For a thicker sauce, pour the glaze into a saucepan and reduce on medium heat before serving.
- If you prefer a less sweet glaze, reduce the honey to 1 tablespoon.
