Ingredients
Scale
Cheese Mixture
- 8 ounces Cabot Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounce can diced jalapenos, drained
- ½ teaspoon salt
Dough and Topping
- 16 ounces crescent roll dough (two 8-ounce cans)
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F to get it ready for baking the rolls.
- Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded pepper jack cheese, softened cream cheese, drained diced jalapenos, and salt. Stir well until fully mixed.
- Prepare Crescent Dough: Roll out both cans of crescent roll dough on a flat surface and press along the perforations to seal the dough into large rectangular sheets.
- Spread Cheese Mixture: Evenly spread the prepared cheese and jalapeno mixture over both sheets of crescent roll dough.
- Roll the Dough: Starting at the short side of each sheet, roll the dough tightly up over the filling to form a log shape.
- Slice Rolls: Using a serrated knife, slice each rolled sheet into 8 approximately 1-inch wide rolls, making 16 rolls total.
- Arrange in Baking Dish: Grease a 9-inch by 13-inch baking dish and arrange the sliced rolls evenly in the dish, cut side up.
- Prepare Garlic Butter Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and garlic powder thoroughly.
- Brush Rolls: Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the tops of the arranged rolls.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 28 to 30 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
Notes
- Drain the jalapenos well to avoid excess moisture making the dough soggy.
- You can adjust the amount of jalapenos or cheese to make it spicier or milder according to your taste.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle some extra shredded cheese on top before baking.
- Serve warm for the best melty texture.
- These rolls can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake.
