Description

These Mediterranean Spiced Beef Wraps with Creamy Feta Sauce offer a quick and flavorful 30-minute dinner option. Ground beef is seasoned with aromatic spices and paired with crunchy fresh vegetables, all wrapped in warm tortillas and topped with a tangy, creamy feta yogurt sauce. Perfect for a satisfying and easy-to-make meal bursting with Mediterranean flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Spiced Beef

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh Vegetables & Wraps

  • 4 large flour tortillas or flatbreads
  • 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes

Creamy Feta Sauce

  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 small clove garlic, grated
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Onion: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the diced onion until softened, about 3 minutes.
  2. Add Garlic: Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Cook the Beef: Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Season the Meat: Stir in cumin, paprika, coriander, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat.
  5. Make the Feta Sauce: In a small bowl, mix feta cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, grated garlic, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
  6. Warm the Wraps: Warm the tortillas or flatbreads slightly to make them pliable.
  7. Assemble the Wraps: Spoon the spiced beef onto each wrap and top with lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes.
  8. Serve: Drizzle generously with the creamy feta sauce, roll up the wraps, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, substitute flour tortillas with gluten-free or corn tortillas.
  • You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Serve with a side of tzatziki or hummus for added Mediterranean flair.
  • Leftover beef mixture can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  • Use whole wheat tortillas to increase fiber content.
