Description

Oreo Delight is a no-bake layered dessert featuring a crunchy Oreo cookie crust, a creamy cream cheese and powdered sugar layer, a smooth chocolate pudding layer, and a fluffy whipped topping, all finished with a sprinkle of Oreo crumbs on top. This easy-to-make treat takes just 30 minutes of prep and chills for a deliciously rich and indulgent dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 (14.3-ounce) package regular Oreo cookies (about 35 cookies)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Filling and Topping

  • 1 (5.9-ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 (16-ounce) container frozen whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed and stirred
  • 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding: In a large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk until well combined. Set aside for a few minutes to thicken.
  2. Crush the Oreos: Crush the entire package of Oreo cookies either using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing manually with a rolling pin or meat mallet. Reserve 1 cup of the crushed Oreos for topping.
  3. Make the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the remaining Oreo crumbs with the melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan using a measuring cup or your fingers to form an even crust.
  4. Prepare the cream cheese layer: Using a mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and mix well to combine. Gently fold in about half of the whipped topping to avoid deflating it. Spread this mixture evenly over the Oreo crust.
  5. Add the pudding layer: Spread the thickened chocolate pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Top with whipped topping: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer to cover it completely.
  7. Finish with Oreo crumbs and chill: Sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs evenly over the whipped topping. Cover the pan and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow layers to set. Slice and serve chilled. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • For best results, make sure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing to avoid lumps.
  • Use full-fat milk for the pudding to ensure a creamy texture.
  • Allow the dessert to chill for at least 4 hours so the layers set properly and the flavors meld.
  • You can substitute the regular Oreo cookies with a gluten-free version if needed.
  • Keep the dessert refrigerated and consume within 5 days for optimal freshness.
