Coffee Base

  • 2 cups Nespresso coffee

Peppermint Marshmallow Creamer

  • 1/2 cup half & half cream (10%)
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Whipped Peppermint Cream

  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (35%)
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Garnish

  • 1 teaspoon crushed candy canes
  • 2 candy canes


Instructions

  1. Brew the coffee: Brew 2 cups of Nespresso coffee using your machine and keep it hot while preparing other components.
  2. Heat the half & half: Pour the half & half cream into a saucepan and heat it over medium heat until small bubbles form around the edges, but do not boil.
  3. Melt the marshmallows: Add the mini marshmallows to the warm half & half and whisk continuously until the marshmallows have fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Add peppermint extract: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract into the marshmallow creamer and remove the saucepan from the heat.
  5. Whip the cream: Using a chilled bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until it becomes slightly thickened.
  6. Sweeten and flavor: Add 1 tablespoon of icing sugar and 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract to the whipped cream, then continue whipping until it reaches your desired consistency (soft peaks recommended).
  7. Combine coffee and creamer: Pour the warm peppermint marshmallow creamer into the hot brewed coffee. Stir gently to combine.
  8. Top with whipped cream: Spoon the peppermint whipped cream over the top of the latte for a rich and fluffy finish.
  9. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the whipped cream and add a whole candy cane on the side as a festive garnish. Serve immediately.
