Instructions
- Preheat Oven or Prepare Pan/Air Fryer: For the oven method, preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). If using a pan, heat it on low flame. For the air fryer method, set it to 180°C.
- Prepare Bread Base: Lightly butter each slice of bread if you prefer a crispier base. This step is optional but recommended for added flavor and texture.
- Spread Sauce: Evenly spread ½ cup of pizza sauce or marinara on each slice of bread to form the flavorful base layer.
- Add Vegetables: Distribute sliced onions, bell peppers, sweet corn, and olives evenly on top of the sauce according to your preference.
- Top with Cheese: Generously sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the vegetables, ensuring good coverage for a melty, cheesy top.
- Season: Sprinkle ½ teaspoon dried oregano and ½ teaspoon chili flakes over each slice to add aromatic and spicy notes.
- Cook: Depending on your chosen method: For the oven, bake the prepared slices for 8–10 minutes until the cheese melts and turns slightly golden. For the pan, place the slices on low heat, cover with a lid, and cook for 5–7 minutes until cheese melts and the bottom becomes crisp. For the air fryer, cook at 180°C for 5–6 minutes.
- Serve: Remove from heat once the cheese is melted and slightly golden. Let cool briefly then serve your delicious, crispy pizza toast.
