Description

These S’mores Rice Krispies Treats combine the nostalgic flavors of classic campfire s’mores with the crispy, fun texture of Rice Krispies and Golden Grahams cereals. Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Line a 9×9 inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly butter it to ensure easy removal of the treats later.
  2. Melt butter and marshmallows: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the salted butter. Add the jumbo marshmallows and stir continuously until the mixture is completely smooth and melted.
  3. Add vanilla and cereals: Remove the pan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Then fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, Golden Grahams cereal, and 1 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  4. First layer assembly: Spread half of the cereal and marshmallow mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the broken Hershey bar pieces and remaining mini marshmallows evenly over this layer.
  5. Second layer assembly: Spread the remaining cereal mixture on top, pressing gently to avoid compacting it too much. Finish by adding the rest of the Hershey bar pieces and mini marshmallows as a topping.
  6. Cool and serve: Let the assembled treats cool completely at room temperature to set. Once firm, cut into squares and serve.
