Scale
Dough Ingredients
- 3/4 cup warm water (100 to 105 degrees F)
- 3/4 Tablespoon honey
- 3/4 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3/4 Tablespoon instant yeast
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
Filling Ingredients
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (cut into small cubes)
- Pizza toppings of your choice: pepperoni, ham, veggies, pineapple, etc.
Topping Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Serving
- Pizza Sauce and/or Ranch dressing (for dipping)
Instructions
- Prepare Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate or a 9×9-inch square baking dish thoroughly to prevent sticking, then set it aside.
- Make the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water, honey, vegetable oil, instant yeast, and salt. Stir well and let it sit for 5 minutes until the yeast starts to foam, indicating it is active. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and mix until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 to 7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough back in the bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Assemble the Rolls: After the dough has risen, punch it down gently and roll it out into a roughly 12×10-inch rectangle. Evenly distribute the cubed mozzarella cheese and your selected pizza toppings over the dough. Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Slice the log into 1 to 1.5-inch wide pieces and arrange them cut side up in the prepared baking dish, leaving a little space between each roll for expansion.
- Add Seasoning and Bake: Drizzle the olive oil over the rolls, then sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and grated Parmesan cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with pizza sauce and/or ranch dressing for dipping. Enjoy your delicious stuffed pizza rolls!
Notes
- Use toppings of your choice to customize these rolls—traditional pepperoni or veggies both work great.
- Make sure water is between 100 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit to activate the yeast properly.
- You can prepare dough ahead of time and refrigerate before rolling and filling for convenience.
- Serve with a side of marinara or ranch dipping sauce to enhance flavors.
- For a crispier crust, bake a few extra minutes but watch closely to prevent burning.
