Description

This Tasty Spinach and Feta Flatbread Pizza is a quick and delicious vegetarian meal combining a crispy flatbread base topped with melted mozzarella, fresh spinach, tangy feta, and aromatic garlic. Perfect for a light lunch or easy dinner, it brings vibrant flavors together with simple ingredients in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 piece flatbread

Cheeses

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Vegetables & Herbs

  • 1/2 cup torn fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 3 cloves sliced garlic

Seasoning & Oil

  • Olive oil for drizzling (extra virgin preferred)
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Sea salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat completely to ensure even cooking of the flatbread pizza.
  2. Prepare baking surface: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and place the flatbread on it, ready for toppings.
  3. Add mozzarella and seasonings: Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the flatbread. Sprinkle garlic powder and freshly ground black pepper over the cheese layer for added flavor.
  4. Layer vegetables and feta: Evenly distribute the torn fresh spinach, sliced red onion, and sliced garlic over the mozzarella. Then crumble feta cheese on top and sprinkle with sea salt to enhance the taste.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and bake: Lightly drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the assembled flatbread. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the flatbread edges become golden and crisp.
  6. Cool and serve: Remove the flatbread from the oven and let it cool slightly for a couple of minutes. Slice into wedges and serve warm, enjoying the fresh, savory flavors.

Notes

  • Use fresh spinach for the best texture and flavor; baby spinach works well too.
  • Adjust garlic amount according to your preference or substitute with garlic powder for a milder taste.
  • Flatbread size can vary; adjust toppings proportionally.
  • To make it gluten-free, use certified gluten-free flatbread.
  • Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
