Description

This White Pizza with Prosciutto & Hot Honey is a delightful blend of creamy ricotta, melted mozzarella, and savory prosciutto, finished with a sweet and spicy drizzle of hot honey and fresh basil. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, it’s an easy-to-make pizza that packs a flavorful punch in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Base

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Cheeses

  • 1 cup fresh ricotta cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Toppings & Garnish

  • 4 oz thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 2 tbsp hot honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it inside the oven as it heats to ensure a crispy crust.
  2. Roll Out Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to approximately 12 inches in diameter, making sure it’s an even thickness to ensure uniform cooking.
  3. Add Cheeses: Spread the fresh ricotta cheese evenly over the rolled-out dough, then cover with a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese for that gooey melt.
  4. Arrange Prosciutto: Lay thin slices of prosciutto evenly over the cheese layer to add a salty, savory flavor.
  5. Drizzle Olive Oil and Bake: Lightly drizzle olive oil on top to enhance crust color and flavor. Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  6. Add Hot Honey and Garnish: Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and immediately drizzle the hot honey over the top. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use a pizza stone to get a crispy crust.
  • If you prefer a milder sweetness, adjust the amount of hot honey to your taste.
  • Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing to allow the cheese to set slightly.
  • You can substitute prosciutto with another cured meat or omit for a vegetarian option (skip prosciutto and select Vegetarian diet accordingly).
