Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Base
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Cheeses
- 1 cup fresh ricotta cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Toppings & Garnish
- 4 oz thinly sliced prosciutto
- 2 tbsp hot honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it inside the oven as it heats to ensure a crispy crust.
- Roll Out Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to approximately 12 inches in diameter, making sure it’s an even thickness to ensure uniform cooking.
- Add Cheeses: Spread the fresh ricotta cheese evenly over the rolled-out dough, then cover with a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese for that gooey melt.
- Arrange Prosciutto: Lay thin slices of prosciutto evenly over the cheese layer to add a salty, savory flavor.
- Drizzle Olive Oil and Bake: Lightly drizzle olive oil on top to enhance crust color and flavor. Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Add Hot Honey and Garnish: Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and immediately drizzle the hot honey over the top. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For best results, use a pizza stone to get a crispy crust.
- If you prefer a milder sweetness, adjust the amount of hot honey to your taste.
- Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing to allow the cheese to set slightly.
- You can substitute prosciutto with another cured meat or omit for a vegetarian option (skip prosciutto and select Vegetarian diet accordingly).
